I am back from vacation.  What a wonderful time. Destination Wedding Photography.....have camera will travel!

I am so excited!!!  I am leaving for Boston/Cape Cod for a little R&R and to shoot the wedding of Erin and Trevor.  As many of you know I LOVE New England....so how awesome is it that I get to spend a week in my favorite part of the country and then on top of it all I get to photography a beach wedding on the Cape!  Can you say AWESOME!!!  I can already taste the clam chowder, and lobster!  So, if you are looking to get married up in New England.....call me!  I have camera and I will travel.  Can't wait to post photos.

Kids Trends Magazine Cover...Lost In The Shuffle.

As a true testament to how crazy life has been lately.  I missed that one of my photos was chosen to grace the cover of Kids Trends Magazine.  It just got lost in the shuffle.

Before I was a Mom.....Happy Mother's Day!

Before I was a Mom,

I never tripped over toys

or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn’t worry whether or not

my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations. 

Before I was a Mom,

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind

and my thoughts.

I slept all night. 

Before I was a Mom,

I never held down a screaming child

so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night

watching a baby sleep. 

Before I was a Mom,

I never held a sleeping baby just because

I didn’t want to put her down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces

when I couldn’t stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small

could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom. 

Before I was a Mom,

I didn’t know the feeling of

having my heart outside my body.

I didn’t know how special it could feel

to feed a hungry baby. 

I didn’t know that bond

between a mother and her child.

I didn’t know that something so small

could make me feel so important and happy. 

Before I was a Mom,

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night

every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth,

the joy,

the love,

the heartache,

the wonderment

or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much,

before I was a Mom.

Missing In Action!!

For those of you who check my photo blog regularly I apologize for my absence.  Please stay tuned for many BIG announcements!!!!.....and big changes!!!!!!!..................Hee-Hee!!!!

I have to say I still LOVE film (see photo).  The richness in the black and whites is amazing.  I find it hard to duplicate that look in photoshop....you can come close but nothing compares to the real thing....yummy! I started off (back in the day...ha-ha) shooting a medium format film camera....every now and then I get the itch to shoot film.  It is hard to blog if you shoot  film......ha-ha!

What Can Patty-Cake Photography Create For You?

I am so excited!!  One of my clients just sent me an e-mail thanking me for the beautiful pictures of her family and how they will treasure them for years to come.  She also included a photo of how they look hanging on her wall.  Yeah!  I love that!!!!  What beautiful girls they were and what fun they were to work with.  Mom came over and we talked about what she wanted to do with her images.  She wanted to create a dramatic impact, so we went with 16x16 gallery wrapped canvases.  They turned out gorgeous!!

Where Did My Baby Go??

My little sweetie is two and a half now.  I am just wondering where the time has gone.   Seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital.

Double the Fun!

What a great time I had photographing these two cuties!  I have driven past this old tire swing so many times and everytime I did I kept thinking I need to do a photo shoot there.   Enter J.D. and Maggie.  Double the fun!!!
