Spring is in the air!! Yeah! I am so happy it's starting to warm up. Have you noticed that it's staying lighter longer. Oh, and can I say azaleas. I just keep seeing in my mind a photo of a little girl in her Easter dress having a teddy bear picnic by the blooming flowers. I want to do bunny photos BUT I haven't been able to find any bunnies??? Happy Valentine's Day! My daughter is super excited about Valentine's Day today. She can't wait to give all her friends their Valentine's. She said it's the "BEST" day ever!! There is nothing like the excitement of a child.
THE BUNNIES ARE COMMING!!! I am starting plan for Bunny Photos this year. This will be Patty-Cake Photography's 3rd year to do Easter photos and every year it is so much fun. The kids just love it!! I am looking for a place to do it this year and I need some baby bunnies......(so details coming soon).

Wow! What a week! Can I just say I have the best job in the world....
Kayce the beautiful mother-to-be (see post below) had her baby. I was lucky enough to be there and photograph the miracle of "LIFE". Little Miss T. arrived in the world on 2/7/08 weighing in at 7.5oz. She is beautiful!! I'll have more photos to post soon.....but I wanted to share this. Welcome to the World!!

I only do a handful of weddings a year, but the couples I choose to work with are always awesome! I had the best time doing Miss M. bridals. We had a great time.....even if we forgot the flowers and had to call the groom to drop the flowers off without seeing the bride to be...not an easy task!

A while back I posted that I wanted to do more maternity and birth sessions. Well, it looks like 2008 is off to a good start. I was lucky enough to photograph Kayce. Kayce is expecting her first child and I am lucky enough to be invited for the miracle of birth. I get to be the fly on the wall and capture all those first moments. I can't wait!!! Can you believe how beautiful she is.
Her baby is due and she has just a tiny tummy. I guess it helps to be 6'....lol!
I wish I could show you all the photos ....we had the best time and got some beautiful photos.

I stepped out of my box and photographed a small private school. It was so much fun, but a lot of work!!! Now, I know why the bigger schools go with companies like "Lifetouch" and such. They are big companies uses to handling the volume. The parents seemed to really like the personal touch and better quaility custom portraits....and the kids they were just the cutest!!
Oh, I am so excited I just did the best maternity sessions........I will have images to share very soon. The mom-to-be is stunning......and she will be my first "Birth Session".........Yeah!! I can't wait!!! Keep checking back!!................m

Valentine's Day is coming.......
I am so excited!!! 2008 is going to be a great year. We are going to mix thing up here at Patty-Cake Photography first starting with our blog. Our blog is getting a face lift!!! Keep on the look out for our big unveiling!

Okay, I might be a wee bit biased. But, is this not a cute kid? This is the newest member of our family. My nephew Cole. I got to meet him over the Christmas holidays. So YUMMY!! I got to do a lot of holding and cuddling. I wish his mommy and daddy didn't live so far. 
My New Years resolution is to do more maternity and newborn sessions in 2008. If you are pregnant or have a newborn.....(under 12 days old) call me.....756-5003....
I want to add Birth Sessions this year. What is a birth session? It's me documenting through photos the birth of your child. I would be on call waiting for you to go into labor. Once called I would meet you at the hospital and just be a fly on the wall....not getting in the way. Just capturing this miracle as it unfolds. If this sounds like something you might be interested in give me a call. My first Birth Session will be COMPLIMENTARY to the first client. An once and a lifetime offer. I can't wait!!!!
